Creating a Depreciation Entry

To add a new depreciation entry:

  1. Click New Depreciation Entry.

  1. Enter the relevant details according to the form provided.

Understanding the Columns

The Depreciation Entries tab contains several key columns:

  • Date:
    Represents the entry date on which the depreciation is recorded.

  • Reference:
    Identifies each depreciation entry with a specific reference number.

  • Description:
    Explains how depreciation is recorded and provides additional useful information.

  • Fixed Assets:
    Lists the titles of fixed assets included in each depreciation entry.

  • Divisions:
    If divisional accounting is enabled, this column shows the names of divisions pertaining to the depreciation entry.

  • Amount:
    Reflects the depreciation amount entered for each fixed asset.
