Account — Inter Account Transfers

The Inter Account Transfers account is a built-in account designed to facilitate transferring money between bank or cash accounts. It is automatically added to your Chart of Accounts when you create at least one bank or cash account. The account cannot be deleted, but it can be renamed and customized to suit your accounting needs.

Accessing the Account

To rename or edit this account:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Chart of Accounts.
3. Click the Edit button beside the Inter Account Transfers account.

The editing form includes the following fields:

Name

Specify the account name you wish to use. The default name is Inter Account Transfers, but it can be changed as needed.

Code

(Optional) Enter an account code if you prefer using account codes in your accounting system.

Group

Select the appropriate group on the Balance Sheet under which this account should appear.

After completing these steps, click Update to save your changes.

Additional Information

On reports generated by Manager:

• The Inter Account Transfers account balance, if zero, can be hidden by adjusting the report settings to Exclude zero balances.
