If you are using Gmail, you have the option of having Google store and index the emails you send from Manager, so all your sent emails will be searchable and backed-up on Google’s servers.

Before using Gmail SMTP, you need to authorize Manager to access your Google account.

Go to https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha, log into your Gmail account, then click Continue.

Step 2: Allow “Less Secure Apps”

If you are using 2-step verification, skip this step and move to Step 3

Go to https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and ensure Allow less secure app switch is ON

Step 3: Generate app password if 2-Step verification is enabled

If you are not using 2-step verification, skip this step and move to Step 4 .

Go to https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords and select Other/Custom name from Select App.

Give it a name such as Manager App and then click Generate.

Note down the application password as it will be required in the next step.

Step 4: Configure email settings in Manager

Enter the Gmail details under Settings tab, then Email Settings.

  • Set Email address to your Gmail email address
