Understanding the Capital Accounts Tab Columns

The Capital Accounts tab displays several columns, each providing specific information:

  • Code: Displays the account-specific code associated with the capital account.
  • Name: Displays the name of the capital account.
  • Control account: Shows the name of the control account linked to the capital account. If custom control accounts have not been set up, the default will display as "Capital Accounts".
  • Division: Identifies the division associated with this capital account. If divisional accounting is not enabled, this will remain blank.
  • Balance: Reflects the combined total of all debits and credits assigned to this capital account. Clicking this figure will display a breakdown of transactions contributing to the balance.
