The Capital Accounts tab in Manager.io is designed to monitor funds contributed by or distributed to business owners and investors. This tab is essential for accurately tracking ownership interests within your business.
To add a new capital account:
This will open a form where you can enter details for the new capital account.
If you are adding a capital account that already has an outstanding balance (for example, when you are migrating data from another system), you can set the starting balance:

The Capital Accounts tab displays several important columns:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Code | Shows the code assigned to the capital account. |
Name | Displays the name of the capital account. |
Control account | Indicates the control account associated with the capital account. If no custom control account is set up, the default is Capital Accounts. |
Division | Shows the associated division, if your business is using divisional accounting. Otherwise, this field remains blank. |
Balance | Displays the total balance (sum of all debits and credits) in the capital account. This figure is clickable—you can click it to view all underlying transactions. |
